From Natural Oils to Lauric Acid
Lauric acid is produced from natural oils through a series of chemical and separation processes. First, oils rich in lauric triglycerides such as coconut oil and palm kernel oil are selected as raw materials. These oils undergo hydrolysis under controlled temperature and pressure to break down triglycerides into glycerol and fatty acids. The resulting fatty acid mixture is then distilled to isolate lauric acid from other fatty acids. Finally, purification and grading processes ensure the lauric acid meets the required purity specifications for industrial applications.
